Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gerald Schroeder can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

What a loss to so many people. Gerald was one of the first people to welcome me to Dallas and to the Dallas Public Library when I started working there in 1995. He was always quick to laugh and smile and continued to welcome not just me, but every new employee. I enjoyed talking with him through the years, including after I left Dallas. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him and to all those many thousands of library patrons he assisted.
