In 2024, OakCrest Funeral Home celebrates its 23rd anniversary serving Waco as an overwhelming success story. Once the smallest funeral home in Waco, it is now one of the largest proudly serving many families annually.
Increasingly more and more families are changing to OakCrest for personalized care by our friendly, experienced staff. Our goal remains to provide individualized, honest service to each family we are privileged to serve with competitive prices that show we care. We honor all Pre-needs from other funeral homes.
In 2011, OakCrest Funeral Home added Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas, and in 2013, we added Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway. In 2019, we merged with Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro and Whitney, Clifton Funeral Home in Clifton, Texas, and in 2020 with the Lawson Funeral Home in Meridian, Texas. Our latest mergers are Littlepage Funeral Home in Mart and Bellmead Funeral Home.
Dr. Reagan Ramsower serves as the Board Chair of Higginbotham Funeral Homes of Texas, and his great-grandfather founded our company in 1881. His wife, Glenda Ramsower, is our corporate secretary-treasurer. Their son, Ryan Ramsower, a Waco native and Baylor University graduate, serves as our CEO as a fifth generation serving the family corporation.
Besides the Waco area, we also operate funeral homes in Stephenville, Comanche, Cleburne, Burleson, Joshua, Rising Star, Gorman, Cross Plains, Meridian, Clifton, Hillsboro, and Whitney.
