January 13, 1995 – February 3, 2015


Braeden Saunders Freeman, 20, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. A Celebration of his Life will be 5 p.m. Sunday, February 8, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

Braeden was born in Waco on January 13, 1995 to Barry S. Freeman and Nicole Rush Freeman. He graduated from Mart High School in 2013. Braeden was well-loved by everyone.

He lived life to the fullest and was active in all types of athletics. He enjoyed spending time on the river kneeboarding with friends, and especially liked listening to music.

Braeden is survived by his father, Barry Saunders Freeman and wife, Norma, of Woodway; his mother Nicole Rush Freeman of Mart; sister, Savannah Nicole Freeman; step-brother, Lee Sawyers of Waco; step-sisters, Leah Newman and husband Chris of Lorena, Jessica Davis and husband Tyler of League City, and Miranda Nichols of Woodway; grandparents, Butch and Joann Freeman of Mart, Patsy Freeman of Waco, Dutch and Brenda Mallow of Mart, and Connie Adams of Waco.

He is also survived by his uncles, Brent and Lisa Freeman and their sons, Austin and his wife Mandy, Walker and Trevor, and Brian Freeman and partner, Robert Jaramillo, Ben Rush and wife Tricia; aunts, Suanne Gilleland and husband Keith, Natalie Gooden and husband Brad; two special friends, Jenni Daigle and Kevin Kyle and their sons, Jacob and Ryan, and their daughter, Katie; and many extended family and friends who he loved dearly.

Also surviving is his aunt, Carrie Kennedy who helped raised him, along with his other cousins, Ashley Dawson, Hunter Wade Dawson, Kaymee Gooden and Karleigh Gooden.

His uncle Brian Freeman is establishing a college memorial fund at Mart High School in Braeden’s name, and contributions can be sent to First National Bank of Central Texas.
