Obituary for Angeline A. Henkelman (Laubert)

Angeline A. Laubert Henkelman, 92, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at St. Catherine’s Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 with visitation to follow until 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church with Father John Guzaldo as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours.

Angeline was born October 20, 1923 in Lott, Texas, the daughter of Peter and Josephine (Niekamp) Laubert. On July 14, 1947, Angeline was united in marriage to Reinhardt Henkelman, who preceded her in death on September 29, 1976.

She attended St. Louis Catholic Church and was a member of St. Veronica’s Circle.

In addition to her parents and husband, Angeline is preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Ann Bernadette Laubert and Emma Laubert Brown; and brothers, Edmund, Herman, Joe and Lawrence Laubert.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Trainor, Shirley Hyde and husband, Richard, Martha Padgett and husband, Cecil, and Darlene Bolfing and husband, Sidney; brothers, Alvin Laubert and wife, Lillie and Ervin Laubert and his wife, Geraldine; a sister, Josephine Laubert King and husband, Randy; sisters-in-law, Virgie Laubert and Irene Laubert Brem; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are her grandsons, Michael Trainor, Bradley Padgett, Jeremy Hyde, Brandon Hyde, and Jason Bolfing, as well as nephew, Robert Henkelman. Honorary pallbearers will include her grandson, Brian Trainor who is on active duty in Germany; granddaughters, Nikki Thyen, Kristin Volcik, and Kim Johnson; granddaughters-in-law, Jeanine Trainor, Julie Padgett, Candice Trainor, and Ashley Bolfing; and grandsons-in-law, William Johnson, Adam Thyen, and Ryan Volcik.

We have wonderful memories that will allow us to remember how precious she was to us. She will be missed by all those who had the privilege to know her. She has left this world a better place and has blessed the lives she has touched.

We would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the 4th floor staff of St. Catherine’s Center and Providence Hospice for their outstanding care.
