Ray Schumann was a man of many virtues. A prime example is the kindness that he showed my parents. For years he would take the time to give them a call or pay them a visit when he was in New Braunfels. He enjoyed talking sports, especially with my mom. The two even talked politics, though neither one agreed with the other. Thankfully, these discussions remained civil and good natured. It is my sincere hope that the three of them are now talking about the chances of the Astros or Rangers making the World Series this year. (No need for political talk in heaven!)
