I wish express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I learned to know Darla at MDAnderson as the Tuesday volunteer patient advocate in the clinic and enjoyed talking with Darla and each of you during her treatments there. She was so sweet and kind. Her hugs were special.

Condolence From: Tara Smith Hendrick
Condolence: Darla was such a special person. She always had joy. When we were little and I would visit my grandparents in Brownwood, I always hoped she would be at church when I got there. I remember very distinctly her smile. Although, we did not keep up with each other, as much as I would have liked over the years, I always felt she was my friend. She had a heart for Jesus and for others. I know she blessed so many people on this earth. I don't understand why she had to do so much suffering in her short time on earth. Even in her pictures near the end that radiant smile was on her face to share with others. So beautiful. I truly mourn for her mom, husband and nieces and nephews who are left to miss her daily presence. I pray that God gives you comfort. She will be so missed. ~Tara Smith Hendrick
