I had not seen my Aunt Paulin in many years and always meant to travel to Waco to renew our acquaintance, but just ran out of time. My memories from my childhood are of a warm and charming woman who at the same time was stern and could be tough. Perhaps my fondest memory is of her as a young woman in Anton Texas being in love with a man named Joe. I can faintly hear her laughing and being a bit coy with her beau. Looking through those pictures does filled me with happiness to see that she that she had a full life surrounded by loving family, but at the same time the sorrow of her passing still tugs at my heart. Certainly, I am sad to see her go because she was an wonderful Aunt, but also more sadness because she was the last relation of that generation. With her she takes a lot of living memories of the childhood of her brother (my father) all my other aunts and uncles and of course her mother and father (my grandfather and grandmother.) Rest in peace Tia, your memory lives on in us your loving family.
