Obituary for Maria Escobedo-Guerrero

Maria Escobedo Guerrero, 54, of Bellmead, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Waco, Texas.

Mass will be officiated by Father Benjie at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Friday, May 22, a graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Thursday May 21, at 7 p.m. at Oak Crest 4520 Bosque Ave, in Waco.

Maria was born May 28, 1960 in Pinos Zacatecas, Mexico, to the late Macario Escobedo and surviving Daria Baez. She worked as a seamstress at Powers Embroidery in Waco Tx, where she made many friends. She was a devote catholic and loved to attend prayer group. Maria loved to help others and volunteer as much as possible. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who always put God and her family above everything.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Maria will be deeply missed by her Husband Marcos Guerrero and their 7 children, Maria de la Luz Perez and husband Norberto Perez, Bernardo Guerrero, and wife Adrian Guerrero, Antonio Guerrero and wife Veronica, Isabel Guerrero, Beronica Guerrero, Jose Guerrero and wife Yesenia Heredia; her Mother Daria Baez Salazar and Brothers Martin Escobedo, Jose C Escobedo, Juan Escobedo and Manuel Escobedo; Sisters Josefina Escobedo and Eustolia Montelongo; her very dear friend, Guillermina "Mina" Gonzalez; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her sons and two grandsons Eduardo Perez and Cesar Perez will serve as pallbearers.
