Suzanne Sellers Bingham of Waco, Texas, passed away January 19, 2026, at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 29 at Chapel Hill cemetery in Waco at 2:00 p.m. In addition, friends and family are invited to stop by OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28 to pay their respects.
Suzanne was born March 31, 1947, in Hamilton, Texas, to J.F. and Walteen Sellers and grew up in Waco where she graduated from Richfield High School. She married her love, John Wayne (Johnny) Bingham, April 13, 1972. Most of her career was dedicated to the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Department of Transportation where she served as an administrative assistant and full-time office cut-up. She loved her years of service to the state and cherished the many friendships she made along the way. Suzanne retired from DPS in 2007, which allowed her and John to enjoy more time at their ranch in Ireland, Texas.
Always young at heart, Suzanne brought the fun to whatever occasion she was attending. She loved songs with a good beat and was sure to pull out some exotic dance moves every time she got the chance. She had a unique ability to crack people up—sometimes intentional, sometimes not. You always knew if you got “that look,” something classic was about to come out of her mouth. She enjoyed shopping ‘til she dropped and laughing ‘til she cried. She and John were animal lovers through and through, and had countless much-loved pets over the years.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, John Bingham, and parents, J.F. and Walteen Sellers, and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Monta and Ted Conner of Valley Mills, niece and husband Shawna and Richard Tiner and niece Cristin Conner, who will never forget the love and laughter she brought to their lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue of Waco (fuzzyfriendsrescue.com) or the Humane Society of Central Texas (hsctx.org).
