Sulema Hernández Álvarez

Sulema Hernandez Alvarez passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 7, 2025. She was only 34 years old. The family is deeply saddened by her sudden departure. Sulema was born on July 24, 1991.

Sulema was born in Waco, Texas. She graduated from University High School. She attended church regularly, where she eventually met the love of her life, Jose (Guero). They married on March 29, 2013, started their lives and had two beautiful daughters, Emily and Emma. Sulema was a loving and amazing wife, mother, sister, cousin and friend to many. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her girls and caring for all her nieces and nephews as her own. She is dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

Sulema is survived by her loving husband, Jose Antonio Alvarez Rodriguez; daughters, Emily and Emma Alvarez; parents, Porfirio and Margarita Hernandez; siblings and their families, Porfirio Jr. and Charity Hernandez, Jaqueline and Israel Arroyo, Annette and Tiburcio Martinez, Cristal Hernandez, Carlos and Crystal Alvarez, Aron and Rosario Alvarez, and Luis and Karla Rodriguez; her mother and father-in-law, Alma Rodriguez and Alberto Gonzalez; and tios and tias, Herlinda Palacios, Julio Reyna, Raquel Sanchez, Juana Reyna, Eulalia Reyna, Adrian Reyna, and Luis and Ruth Rodriguez.

Her memory lives on with her nieces and nephews, Raymundo and Andie Delgado, Gimena and Raymundo Ledesma, Gabriella, Jennifer, Danycia, Jerardo, Porfirio III, and Elias Hernandez, Lizette and Matthew Arroyo, Cruz Alonzo Hernandez, Jade and Ruby Martinez, Johnny and Luna Resendez , J Carlos Luna, Ruth and Esther Rodriguez, Camila, Caleb, and Canaan Alvarez, Aron and Alan Alvarez, Amaya and Aleyna Rodriguez; and her great nephews, Raymundo and Ernesto Delgado and Raymundo and Claudio Ledesma .

Sulema was preceded by her brother, Jerardo Hernandez; and grandparents, Gavino and Andrea Reyna, Julio and Dominga Hernandez, and Claudio Rodriguez.

Pallbearers will be Porfirio Hernandez, Jr., Raymond Delgado, Raymundo Ledesma, Jerardo Hernandez, Tiburcio Martinez, Carlos Alvarez, Aron Alvarez, and Luis Rodriguez.

Sulema Hernández Álvarez falleció inesperadamente el domingo 7 de septiembre de 2025. Tenía tan solo 34 años. La familia lamenta profundamente su repentina partida. Sulema nació el 24 de julio de 1991.

Sulema nació en Waco, Texas. Se graduó de la preparatoria University. Asistía a la iglesia con regularidad, donde finalmente conoció al amor de su vida, José (Güero). Se casaron el 29 de marzo de 2013, comenzaron sus vidas y tuvieron dos hermosas hijas, Emily y Emma. Sulema fue una esposa, madre, hermana, prima y amiga maravillosa y amorosa para muchos. Su mayor alegría en la vida fue ser madre de sus hijas y cuidar de todos sus sobrinos y sobrinas como si fueran suyos. La extrañamos profundamente y nunca la olvidaremos.
