Shirley Burtchell

Shirley Burtchell, 74, of Temple, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Temple. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Val Verde Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Shirley was born December 31, 1936 in Rogers to Dudley and Hazel Pairett. She resided in Temple and was a homemaker. She married Andrew James "AJ" Burtchell August 1, 1954 in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Wayne Burtchell; and sister, Erma Lee Young.

Shirley is survived by her husband, AJ; two sons, Robert Burtchell of Temple and Terry Burtchell and wife, Brandi of Troy; daughter in law, Lisa Burtchell; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and sister, Clara Bell Binner.

Pallbearers include Sarah Burtchell, Josh Burtchell, Jared Burtchell, Zac Burtchell, Mike Benner and Trevor Owen.
