Sherrie Lynn Campbell-Parker aka “ReRe”

Sherrie Campbell-Parker, 60, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 peacefully in her daughter Brooksey’s home surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4pm at Oakcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21,2024 and a gathering at La Fiesta to follow from 5-7pm in the back room.
Sherrie was born October 7,1963 in Waco, TX to Ocie Perkins and Sally Nelson. She graduated from Jefferson Moore High School. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her kindness and loving personality were loved by many and her smile could light up the darkest days.
Sherrie grew up in the bowling alley and bowled for many years making lifelong friendships. She met the love of her life, Donald Parker, and they spent 30 wonderful years together cruising through life. She enjoyed sitting by the campfire with her friends at the lake and serving on the Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo Committee. Sherrie was an avid Baylor Bear Fan and taking her grandson Bryce Vidrine to the basketball games was something that she cherished deeply. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ocie Perkins and Sally Nelson.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Parker of Waco, TX; daughter, Brooksey Humes and husband, Jared of Woodway, TX; step daughter, Jennifer Parker of Woodway, TX; brother, Shawn Perkins and wife, Michelle of Wisconsin; niece, Chevie Perkins and nephew, Shae Perkins of Wisconsin; as well as her grandchildren, Bryce Vidrine, Gage Humes, Logan Humes and Karcyn Parker Warren.
