Rudolph F. Garza, Jr.

Rudy F. Garza, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on October 19, 1961, in Austin, Texas, he was raised in Waco, Texas. Rudy was the beloved son of Esther Gonzalez Flores and the late Lupe “Big Wallace “ Carrillo.

Rudy's life was a testament to love and dedication. He shared 31 wonderful years with his cherished wife, Kim Garza, whom he married on April 29, 1995, in Houston. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, faith, and enduring love, raising four remarkable children: Moses, Stephanie, Sarah, and Nikki. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in his role as a devoted father and grandfather. His legacy lives on in his cherished grandchildren, Maritza, Carina, Isaac, Nellicia, and Junior who brought him endless joy and happiness.

Rudy was a dedicated professional, spending over 45 years as a respected auto-parts salesman in the automotive industry. His work with XL Parts and O'Reilly Automotive was marked by integrity, dedication, and a passion for building meaningful relationships. His reputation was one of honor and respect, and he leaves behind countless friends and colleagues who were touched by his sincerity and warmth.

An active member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church for more than 30 years, Rudy's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He served as a church parishioner and teacher, contributing his time and energy to the Saint Ambrose Men's Club. From organizing bingo nights and manning the grills at church bazaars to frying fish for fundraising during Lent, Rudy was a true steward of service, embodying the spirit of giving in the name of the Lord.

Rudy's love for sports was infectious. A devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, Texans, NHRA, and NASCAR, he relished in sharing his passion with his children and grandchildren. Annual trips to the NHRA Spring Nationals in Baytown were a family tradition, and Sundays were often spent surrounded by loved ones, cheering on his favorite teams and attending mass.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his beloved children and grandchildren; his devoted mother, Esther; and his dear siblings, Mario Carrillo and Yvette Carrillo Munoz. He is preceded in death by his brother, Wallace F. Carrillo. Rudy's spirit and love will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
