Rosemary Parma Johnson Adair, 89, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home Rev. Josh Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Mrs. Adair was born March 22, 1925. She graduated from Waco High School in 1943. She married Joe B. Johnson on February 14, 1948. Mr. Johnson passed in 1958. In May 1964, she married Charles Adair. Rosemary was a beloved homemaker, longtime member of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church, where she did the records in Sunday School for the Pre-School division for 56 years. Rosemary loved her family, her church, Baylor Sports, her Day Lilly garden, talking to friends on the phone, playing 42, listening to Hank Thompson and George Strait, playing spoons, attending her WHS class of ’43 reunions, collecting refrigerator magnets, and her most recent family, the staff and residents at the Stilwell Retirement Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Rose Parma; husband, Joe Johnson; brothers, Roman and Eddie Parma; sister, Lillian Parma; and great-granddaughter, Emlynn Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Adair; son, Gary Johnson and wife, Darlene; daughter, Jan Newsome and husband, Creech; stepsons, Larry Adair and wife, Judy and Terry Adair and wife, Sandra; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, sister, Helen Woodbury; sisters-in-law, Marie Parma, Marsha McKinney, and Virginia Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Newsome, Paul Newsome, Danny Newsome, Greg Johnson, Casey Woodbury, and Eddie Parma.

If desired, memorials may be made to the Childrens Building Fund of Columbus Ave. Baptist Church.
