Rose Veronica Simpson

Rose Veronica Twinn Simpson was born on September 11, 1936 in Harlingen, Texas and passed away peacefully in her home in Waco, Texas on March 6, 2026. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at OakCrest Funeral Home. The following day, Friday, March 13, 2026, Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. at St. Louis Catholic Church with Rosary at 9:00 A.M., prior to the service.  Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Marken and husband, Donald and Stephanie Brody and husband, Abraham; three grandchildren, Lauren Thomas, Dylan Marken and Blair Marken; three great grandchildren, Hayleigh, Nichalas and Hunter Thomas; one sister, Frances Marquis.

Rose was an active member in her church and sang in the choir. She was also active in the Waco Historical Society and Waco Study Club, a founding member of Fuzzy Friends, active in the Garden Club and loved playing tennis with friends. Rose was a member of T-Bar-M Tennis Country Club and Ridgewood Country Club. She loved traveling with her husband, Howard, family and friends. Rose went on many cruises. She loved being at South Padre Island and the Cayman Islands.

Best of all, she was never a stranger to anyone she met and will always be remembered.
