Rosa A. Rodriguez

Rosa Rodriguez departed this earth on Thursday, October 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Rosa was a native of La Ceiba, Honduras and resident of Waco, Texas.

Rosa was born May 8, 1976, in La Ceiba, Honduras to Otilia and Rolando Meza. She came to the United States at the age of 17 and attended University High School. On March 11th of 1995 she got married to the father of her three children, she later took on the role of raising her three children on her own. Years later, she remarried and had her fourth child. Rosa dedicated herself to working in healthcare including Providence and home health. After that, she felt the calling of the Lord to open her own Christian gift shop, Casa de Bendición. Rosa then branched out and introduced Antojitos Centroamericanos, a Honduran Restaurant. She had the opportunity to meet many amazing people and organizations like Grassroots Community Development and Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce who helped her along the way.

Rosa was always willing to help others. She served on several mission trips to Mexico bringing clothing and toys for those in need. She was a faithful servant of God and member of Maranatha Church for over 30 years. As a member, she served as an usher for many years and recently started serving in the nursery ministry.

She was an amazing mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, disciple and friend to many.

Rosa is survived by her four children, Michelle Lawrence, Rolando Alvarez, Abigail Alvarez and Adriana Rodriguez; grandchild, Nicolas Alvarez; siblings, Mercy, Juan, Reynaldo and Esther; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
