Our beloved Bob, Dad, and Paw Paw went to be with the Lord very unexpectedly Friday, August 1st. He passed peacefully in his sleep at home.
Robert Micah Fowler was born May 31, 1961 to Pat and Bobby Fowler in Pasadena, TX. He attended Pasadena Schools and graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School, then joined the U.S. Navy where he served our country for six years. There he served on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier where he learned all kinds of mechanical systems including heating and air conditioning systems. He worked in the HVAC industry for many years and also worked for 20 years as a maintenance technician. After retirement he enjoyed working in the home construction and renovation business.
But, above all, his favorite occupation was spending as much time as possible with his family, who now have so many memories of their times together. He was full of fun and a great listener.
From the time Bob was a little boy, he loved listening to music. He got a big kick out of spending time with friends and family who shared his enthusiasm for rock music. He could talk to you for hours about the artists, lyrics, performances, recordings, instruments, and all the stories surrounding the inspiration of Rock. He spread his love and knowledge of music to his kids and grandson Joseph. He also loved sports (especially cheering on the Dallas Cowboys), and spending Sunday mornings at the farm enjoying pancake breakfasts.
If you had the blessing of knowing Bob, you know you had a smile on your face as soon as you walked into the room, and an even bigger smile when you walked out. Bob gave everyone his full attention and was interested in whatever you wanted to say. He was funny, kind, hardworking, and humble. You will be forever missed by all of us, Bob Rock, till we see you again.
His family and all who loved him are stilled and heartsick at his loss but rejoice with Bob that he is now joyfully reunited with his Savior, his parents Pat and Bobby, and cousin Darla Rucka (Ben).
Deeply mourning Bob’s loss are the love of his life, wife Kimberly Ross Fowler of Waco; son, Cody Otis of Lubbock; grandson, Joseph Ross of Robinson; daughter, Brooke Ross Linder (Dustin); grandchildren, Emory Linder and Isabella Linder of Robinson; Bob’s brother, Ray Fowler (Kaitlyn) and their family of Kearney, NE; aunt and second mom, Donna Hilsmeier; cousins, Paula Beaton (Kevin) and Laura Mancill (Mark) of Boerne; mother–in– law, Carole Ross; brothers-in-law, Larry Paul Ross and Mitchell Edwards (Cindy) of Gatesville; father-in-law Dale Ross (Brenda) of Bolivar, MO; and many more family members and friends.
Many smiles, hugs, stories and songs to remember you by, Sweetie, Dad, Paw Paw, Bob Rock! We will remember you with love and gratefulness for the legacy we shared and learned from you till we meet again.
Bob’s family would like to invite you to First Woodway Baptist Church, 101 N Ritchie Road, Woodway, TX 76712.
