Richard (Dickie) Paul Stone, 68, of Waco, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Richard was born April 9, 1943 in Waco to Robert Ross and Beatrice (Brown) Stone.
He served in the Army National Guard from 1963-1968. He worked at International Paper Co. in Waco and then at the Owens-Illinois Glass Plant, retiring after 28 years.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves his partner of 36 years, Ron Conaway; daughters, Karen Garner and husband, Andy, and Billie Brown and husband, Bill; brothers, Robert "Bob" Ross Stone Jr. and wife, Barbara, and Ronnie Stone and wife, Beverly; sister, Peggy Blake and husband, Richard; three grandsons; two granddaughters; a great-grandson; seven nephews, one niece; numerous great nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Nowlin, Abel Hidrogo, Colton Nowlin, Charlie Blake, Chad Blake and Howard Davis.
