Pauline Hurtado Ruiz, 82, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. Services will 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, with visitation prior, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Pauline was born June 7th 1932 in Mart, TX to Juan and Tiburcia Hurtado. Pauline attended and graduated from Waco High School. After graduation she attended 4C College where she received her associate's degree. She retired from Caritas after 35 years as their Director of Emergency Assistance. Pauline married Domingo Ruiz January 28, 1955 and enjoyed a loving marriage of 60 years.

She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pauline was also member of the National Council of Catholic Women and the Ladies of Charity. Pauline enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lorenza Amaro, Hope Lopez, and Mary Reyes; brothers, Albert Hurtado, Ascension Hurtado, Rufus Hurtado, Jose Hurtado and Julio Hurtado; great-grandson, Brian Alexander Reyes; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Ruiz.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Domingo Ruiz; sons, Robert and wife, Yolanda, Johnny and wife, Cynthia, Lawrence “Larry” and wife, Christine and Mark Anthony; grandchildren, John and wife, Shana, Shenequa Druppel and husband, Shane, Felicia Fuller and husband, Jered, Phillip Jay, Teresa and fiancé, Rudy S. Reyes, Christopher and wife, Amanda, and Suzanna; 15 great-grand children; 4 great great-grandchildren; sister, Janie Almanza; brothers, Leon Hurtado, Felix Hurtado and Janie Rangel, Steve Hurtado and wife, Mary.

Pallbearers will be John Ruiz, Phillip Jay Ruiz, Christopher Ruiz, Arthur Almanza, Steve Hurtado Jr., Carlos Trevino, Danny Castillo, and James Tussey.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ladies of Charity.
