Paul B. Leos, 82, of Waco passed away on May 13, 2025 at his home with his wife by his side. He will be deeply missed by those he knew and loved.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 5-8 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco with the Rosary recited at 6 pm. Mass will be 10 am Monday, May 19, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellmead with Father Fernando Saenz officiating. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby. Reception to follow the burial at Oglesby Community Center, 118 Main Street, Oglesby, Texas.
Paul was born on September 7, 1942 in Gatesville, TX to Cayetano and Rebeca (Blanco) Leos. He married Silvia Espinoza on June 19, 1993 in Waco, TX.
He worked for the Overhead Door Company for 25 years. He also worked for Condor over 10 years. After retirement, he worked for Wilkerson Hatch Bailey and OakCrest Funeral Homes. Paul coached boys baseball in McGregor for over 20 years and girls for 2 years. He loved coaching baseball and sharing his passion for the game. He umpired ASA baseball for 37 years.
Paul was a founding member of the AMA in McGregor, as well as past President, King, and retired member of the Benemerita Sociedad Mutualista Mexicana de Jornaleros, a member of the Knights of Columbus #1358, and also one of the founding members of the Leos reunion. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and involved in the annual fish fry's during Lent held at St Joseph's where he attended church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Sammy, Joe, Manuel, and Willie Leos; grandson, Jonathan Stead; and great grandson, Adrian Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia Leos; daughters, Lisa Bartels (Mike Elliot), Laura Vaughn (Randy), Paula Harn (Robert), Cheryl Breeding, Jessica Arausa (Frank Galindo), and Jennifer Leos (Greg); sister, Janie Walker (Steve); brothers, Fernando Leos (Janet), C.B. Leos (Rhonda), and Thomas Leos (Cindy); 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John David Leos, C.L. Leos, Pete Dwayne Felan, Johnny Espinoza, Chris Harris, John David Henkel, Colton Harn, and Manuel Espinoza.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude.
