Mary Garcia Sanchez, 80, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Primera Baptist Church with Rev. Armando Virgen officiating. Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 followed by a wake service beginning at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mary Sanchez was born January 31, 1934 in Waco, TX to Juan and Adela Estrada Garcia. She was a faithful member of Primera Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Sanchez Sr.; sons, Donald and Eddy Sanchez; sister, Janie Garcia; and brother, Manuel Garcia
Mary is survived by her sons, Steve Sanchez, Roy Sanchez and wife, Michael Ann, and Rudy Sanchez and wife, Betty; daughters, Yolanda Martinez and husband, Salvador, Gloria Faulkner, Norma Zuniga and husband, Sammy, Della Sanchez Jimenez and husband, Joe, and Rita Martinez and husband, Paul Sr.; sisters, Julia Moreno, Silvia Garcia, and Della Garcia; brothers, Joe and Tony Garcia; 31 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and her church family.
