Mary Z. Pippin, 65, beloved wife, and mother, of Waco, was called home by the Lord on Wednesday August 2, 2006. Services will be held at 10 am Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 4901 Cobbs Drive with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating with a graveside service following at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mary, the daughter of Ellis and Lucille Logsdon, was born on April 4, 1941 in Grenola, KS. She married Jim Pippin of Oklahoma City on December 27, 1963. They moved to Waco in November 1967. She served as a math teacher, enriching the lives of many students in both Waco and Midway ISD.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Gregg and wife Tanya of Dallas; daughter, Jennifer of Houston; brother, Merlyn and sister, Sally both of Winfield, KS.
She will be dearly missed by her family, many friends, and all others whose lives she touched. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or First United Methodist Church of Waco.
