Mary Henderson

Mary Ruth "Kootsie" Albin Henderson, 82 passed away Aug. 17, 2012 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held Monday August 20 at 10:00 Am in Waco Memorial Park, with Bro. Greg Brumit officiating. Family Visitation will be Sunday August 19, from 3 - 5 at OakCrest Funeral Home

Mary was born Jan. 16, 1930 in Lyford, Tx to Sherman Albin and Frances Foster Albin. She graduated from Waco High School in 1946. On June 1, 1946, she married Jack Dalton Henderson. For many years, Kootsie & Jack were the Pianist and Song Director at Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. Mary was retired from American Income Life Ins. Co.

Kootsie was deeply loved & admired by her family & friends, for her Christian values, faith, strength of character and just pure goodness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Jack in 2004 after 58 years of marriage.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy Henderson of Bedford; sons, Mike Henderson of Waco, Rickie Henderson and wife Nancy of Quanah, Randy Henderson and wife Leann of Amarillo; granddaughter, Tracy; grandsons, Josh, Jacob, Jeremy, Jason, Chris; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Lawton Albin and wife Peggy of Belton; sister, Darlene Yarbrough and husband Rick of Waco and several nieces and nephews.
