Margie Anderson

Margie Anderson of Waco, Texas, living a gracious life, died on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was 91 years old. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, July 20th, with the rosary recited at 7:30pm, at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 21st at Crawford Cemetery in Crawford, Texas.

Margie was born June 8, 1935 in Waco and lived most of her life in the area. She married Don Haines in the early 1950’s and had a son, Don Haines, Jr. in 1953. Don was a mechanic, race care fanatic, pilot, and crazy. A storm took his life in 1966 causing a plane crash that took two of his friends with him. A few years later Margie married Hal Anderson. Hal and Margie had fun gardening, gambling, playing games, and catering to family visitors. She loved kids and family.

Survivors include her son, Don Haines, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Chalk Bluff; two grandchildren, Luke Haines and his wife Bel and Laura Stern and her husband Edward; as well as two great grandchildren, Kilian and Will.
