Luis Enrique Martinez

Luis Enrique Martinez, age 36, of Huntsville, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23rd, at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 3825 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX, with the rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 24th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2621 Bagby Ave., Waco, TX. Burial will follow immediately at Rosemound Cemetery.

Luis Enrique Martinez was born on Thursday, August 31, 1989, in Huntsville, Texas, the beloved son of Maria Cardoza Martinez and Pedro Martinez. He attended the Huntsville ISD Special Education Department and graduated from Lufkin High School, class of 2011.

Luis was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmothers, Concepcion Hernandez and Victoria Reyna Rendon.

Survivors include his mother, Maria Cardoza Martinez; his brother, Jose Benito Gonzalez (Noelia); his sisters, Diana Marie Saucedo (Deavan), Irene Manriquez Gonzalez (Jared), Cristina Annette Cardoza, and Natalee Sofia Cardoza; his maternal grandparents, Benito and Janie Rendon Cardoza; his aunt, Diana Cardoza Caro; his uncle, Benito Cardoza, Jr.; his cousins, Alexander Cardoza, Abygail Carlos, Larissa Carlos, Elizabeth Caro, Lilliana Cardoza, and Odalis Caro; his nieces, Presley Nicole Porter, Mia Faith Gonzalez, and Juliette Victoria Gonzalez; his father, Pedro Martinez; his brother, Giovanni Martinez; as well as many family friends in Huntsville.

Pallbearers will be Jose Benito Gonzalez, Jared Gonzalez, Giovanni Gomez, Alexander Cardoza, Juan Maldonado, Adrian Maldonado, Andy Maldonado, and Tony Maldonado.
