Linda Sue Harper

Linda Sue Harper went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2025. She was born on November 20, 1941, and was a lifelong resident of McGregor, Texas.

In 1956, Linda married the love of her life, R. B. Harper. Together they owned and operated a small service station and enjoyed traveling until R. B.’s passing in 1997. Even after his passing, Linda continued to travel as long as her eyesight allowed. She loved her family deeply, and they loved her as much in return.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver, and Stella Hamilton; stepfather, George Carpenter; husband, R. B. Harper; granddaughter, Heather Barrintos; grandson, Cory Harper; her oldest and dearest sister, Opal Stephens; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children: Bryan (Jerri) Harper of Hubbard, Texas; Wayne (Stacie) Harper of McGregor, Texas; Kenneth (Kim) Harper of California; and her daughter, Trudy (Richard) Harper of Valley Mills, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several bonus grandchildren.

Linda was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at McGregor City Cemetery. Following the graveside service, there will be a family gathering at 652 E. McGregor Dr., Apt. 205, McGregor, TX 76657
