Lillie (loving called “Miss Lillie”) was born in San Antonio Texas. She was orphaned at an early age and was raised in Michigan, San Antonio, and Waco. She attended Bosqueville schools and met the love of her life, Gilbert at a dance. They were married on December 25, 1958. Early in her marriage Miss Lillie worked at Novie’s Department Store. The Novie family were caring and kind to Miss Lillie as she and Gilbert worked hard to provide for their growing family. Miss Lillie also worked for over twenty-five years at Sears & Roebuck in Waco which included working as an Interior Decorator. She retired at the age of 58. Miss Lillie spent her retirement days traveling with Gilbert to Pan American Golf tournaments, and caring for her husband and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing. Late in life, Miss Lillie developed an affection for the cats that found her and became her daily outdoor companions: Pretty Girl, Prissy, and Momma. Miss Lillie attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Miss Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert and her brother, Lorenzo Nino.
She is survived her son, Michael Quintanilla and wife, Renee; son, Hector Quintanilla and wife, Renee; daughter, Audrey Guerrero and husband, Joe; granddaughters, Kathy, Lillie, Natalie Alejandre and husband, Jon, and Marissa Rosas and husband, Franky; grandson, Marcus Guerrero; great-grandchildren, Maverick and Faith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
