Kaitlyn M. Brown

Kaitlyn Marie Brown, 11, of Waco, went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026. Services will be at 12 p.m., Thursday, February 12th, at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, Texas.

Kaitlyn was born on August 10, 2014, in Richmond, Virginia to Kandace Brown and Albert Sims, Jr. She was enrolled in the sixth grade at Midway Middle School where she actively participated in the school choir.

She was an imaginative young woman with a passion for art and artistic endeavors. She enjoyed singing, dancing, drawing, and crafts. Kaitlyn cherished her family and those around her often described her as a social butterfly. If she wasn’t helping her mother in the kitchen, her preferred foods of choice were Chipotle or Subway. She had an appetite for food and life. Kaitlyn was a caring and loving big sister to her three siblings.

She was an amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, and friend. She was always energetic and high spirited.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Kandace Brown; father, Albert Sims, Jr.; twin brothers, Kaleb and Bryce Mozee; baby sister, Mia Mozee; grandmother, Darlene Singleton; great grandmother, Brenda Wafer; aunt, Kimberly Brown and uncle Te’hlor Brown; great aunts, Charlotte Caufield, Melissa Wafer, and Michelle Nevels; great uncles, Eugene and Jerome Wafer; as well as a host of cousins.
