Judy Marie Willis passed away peacefully May 18, 2026 returning home to her Lord and Savior. Judy was born on March 16, 1946 to Hiram Joel Willis and Ruby Marie Willis in Ft. Worth, Texas. As the middle child and only daughter her younger years were spent keeping up with her brothers. She excelled musically and after graduating from L.D. Bell High School in Hurst obtained a music education degree from West Texas University. During her college years she had the honor of performing in Palo Duro Canyon’s production of “Texas”.

Judy used her musical talent throughout her life serving in church ministry, deaf ministry and educating elementary students teaching art, music and theater. Her teaching career took her through Dalhart, Richardson and ultimately Hallsburg where she lived her purpose teaching the arts while encouraging elementary children for decades. Judy was quick to share a good clean joke and always enjoyed a chuckle.

Judy was a strong independent woman with a fierce love of God followed closely by love for her family. She adored her nieces and nephew and was always ready for travel and adventures with them as well as her brothers and parents. She devoted years of care to her youngest brother following an accident leaving him paralyzed.

Judy is proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Gary Willis and Carroll Willis; and niece Michelle Willis. She is survived by her brother David Willis and wife Marilyn; brother Fred Willis and wife Gwen; sister-in-law Peggy Willis; nieces Rebecca Cross, Dee Ann Collinsworth, Kathi Calvert and Dana Willis; nephew Chris Willis; and several great nieces and nephews.
