Judy Ann Harris, 63, of Waco Texas, passed away on January 3, 2025, in Waco, Texas.
She was born on June 6, 1961, to Cleo and Deloris Carey in Decatur, Illinois.
Judy attended McLennan Community College and earned her Child Development Associates.
She married James M. Harris, III. on October 15, 1983 and they had 3 children: Crystal, Joshua, and Spencer.
She worked as an early childhood education teacher and retired from Little Cougars in 2012 to become a full time Nana.
She was an avid reader and loved watching hummingbirds and cardinals from the front window, accompanied by her Shih Tzu Annabelle. When she was not busy being an all-star Wife, Mom, and Nana, she liked to visit small antique shops and the Sami shows in Belton.
Judy attended church at New Day Family Fellowship, where she was loved by everyone who knew her. She co-ministered with her husband, James, at numerous bible believing churches, preaching and teaching the gospel. She was a true pillar of strength, even throughout her long battle with sickness, her faith in God never wavered and her smile never vanished.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cleo, and sister, Goldia Smith.
Judy is survived by her husband, James; children, Crystal (Anthony) Delvecchio, Joshua (Cami) Harris, and Spencer Harris; grandchildren, Alexander, Makayla and William Delvecchio, and Amaris Harris; mother, Deloris Carey; sister, Frieda (Melvin) Dickens; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 11th at New Day Family Fellowship, 1861 Church Road, McGregor, Texas 76657.
