Juanita Galindo Lopez

On March 10, 2026 at the age of 75, Juanita Galindo Lopez was called home by Our Creator. Juani was born on September 14, 1950 in Hondo, Texas into a family of eight: her parents Kuintin & Josefina Galindo; brothers, Tony, Augustine, Raul, and Ernesto; and her sister, Chele.

She passed peacefully in Waco, Texas with her loving and dedicated husband of over 50 years, Robert Lopez, at her side along with her three children, Maria, Robby, and Joey. Many of her eleven grandchildren were also present as was her great granddaughter.

Janie spent a lifetime doing many things she loved such as dancing the night away with her husband, spending quality time with her large close knit family, being very involved with Sacred Heart Catholic Church, following her faith, and caring for children during her long successful career as a state certified home daycare business owner.

Her life will be celebrated with a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19 with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye officiating.
