It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Antonio Lozano, who departed this life unexpectedly on April 25th 2026 at the young age of 25. Jose who liked to go by “Tony” and was born on October 22th of 2000 in Laredo, Tx. His parents, Laura and Rigoberto Lozano moved shortly after to Waco, Tx where he and his 3 siblings Jacqueline, Pedro and Evelyn Lozano were raised. Tony was not only a cherished son, brother and uncle to many nieces and nephews but also a beloved husband and loving father.
Tony married his first love Marai Andrade on June 10th 2023 where they built a life filled with love and laughter. Together they welcomed their first son Giovanni Lionel Lozano in August of 2023 and then their second son Adriel Santiago Lozano on November of 2025. Gio and Santi were the light of his life and there was nothing that brought him more joy than to be with them and his wife. He loved them very deeply and they were his entire world and everything that he did was always for them.
He worked for 3 years at Primoris where he made amazing friends. One of his passions was soccer. Wether that meant watching his favorite soccer team Cruz Azul play; alongside his family or him playing soccer on Sunday at our local soccer league. He loved soccer and was very good at it! He had a dream of one day becoming a lineman. He was working very hard to reach that goal but unfortunately his life was cut short before he could reach that goal.
Tony was known for his kindness, relentless drive to succeed in anything he put his mind to, his infectious laughter, goofiness and silly dances. He was a pillar for his family and a loyal friend to many. He brought so much light into the lives of everyone who knew him.
Tony is survived by his wife, Marai Lozano-Andrade; his children, Giovanni Lionel and Adriel Santiago Lozano; his parents, Laura and Rigoberto Lozano; his brother, Pedro Lozano; his sisters: Evelyn Lozano and Jacqueline Andrade (spouse: Julio Andrade); his maternal grandparents, Rosa and Margarito Briseno; his paternal grandmother, Eloisa Ortiz; his nieces/nephews, Sophia, Maia and Julio Andrade Jr, Mateo Zuniga, Christopher Lozano, Abriela and Elias Falcon, A’ziyah Brooks, Raylon and Rosalie Cantu and Alessandra and Gianna Calabrese; his father/mother in law who he loved very much, Aurelio and Magdalena Andrade; his sister in laws, Bianca Brooks, Christina and Viviana Andrade. As well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss him dearly.
