Johnny Angel Olvera

Johnny Angel Olvera, 30, passed away on November 30, 2025 in Denton, Texas. Born on October 7th, 1995 in Waco, Texas, Johnny brought light and joy to those around him from the very beginning.

A soul of vibrant energy and boundless creativity, Johnny lived life with a passion that radiated through everything he touched. He was an amazing jeweler who found deep fulfillment in making and creating - each piece a reflection of his unique spirit and attention to beauty. His love for music flowed effortlessly into his daily life, as did his joy in reading and writing - he was really getting back into all of this eagerly!

Whether engaged in an intense video game (but most likely a super chill one), chasing the ball across a soccer field, or dancing all night on a dance floor, Johnny’s enthusiasm was magnetic. His quick wit and infectious laughter had the power to lift spirits and draw people close. With a playful heart and an open smile, he became a source of comfort and joy to many.

But perhaps most remarkable was Johnny’s unwavering kindness. He gave freely of himself - his time, his care, his love - with no expectation of anything in return. Even during life’s most difficult moments, he carried within him a light that never dimmed. His compassion left an everlasting mark on all who knew him.

Johnny is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ashlee Olvera; son, Omar Lozano; goddaughter, Esme Olvera; father, Antonio Olvera, Jr.; mother, Sonia Rodriguez; and stepfather, Chris Cervantez, Sr. He also leaves behind his siblings, Jasmine Tovar and husband, Angel, and nieces Kamilla & Leila Tovar, Priscilla Olvera and niece Sienna Simpson, Sebastian Olvera and wife, Lluvia, and Luis Olvera; as well as Chris Cervantez, Jr. and wife, Vanessa, Jonathan Cervantez, and Adam Cervantez; grandparents, Pauline and David Olvera; maternal grandmother, Evangelina Dominguez; maternal grandfather, Sergio Rodriguez wife, Maria; as well as many tios, tias, cousins and great nieces. May they hold him dearly in their hearts.

He now rests alongside his precious daughter, Julianna Azula-Moon Olvera and beloved brother, Luis Miguel.

Though Johnny's time on earth was far too short, the legacy he leaves behind is vast – a testament to a life lived with purpose, humor, creativity, and love. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire kindness in all whose lives he touched.
