Joann Clemons Ingram was born on October 3, 1934 in Crawford, Texas to Clarice W. Clemons and Pearl Alice (Kelly) Clemons. She began her education in McGregor, Texas, attending McGregor schools’ grades 1 through 12 and graduating in 1953. Joann married Joe Ingram in 1955 and from this union four precious children were born: Debbie, Laurie, Stephanie, and Tim.
Through the years, Joann started her college education at Wharton Junior College followed by the University of Houston, then Texas Tech, and completed her education at Mary Hardin Baylor. She taught Headstart for two summers, fourth grade for two years in Wharton, and 23 years at Crestview Elementary in Waco.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Clemons and Earl Kelly Clemons; husband, Joe Ingram; and oldest daughter, Debbie.
She is survived by Debbie’s children, Lindsay Beltran and husband Isaac of Temple, TX, Jennifer Wiseheart of Oglesby, TX, and Kelly Shannon and wife Leah of McGregor, TX; Laurie Clark and her children, Charlotte Clark of Houston, TX and Wilson Clark and wife Taylor of San Francisco, CA; Stephanie Yates and her children, Emily Aames and wife Taylor of Glendale, CA, Rachel McTighe and husband Brennan of Tampa, FL, and Hannah Yates of Orange, CA; and son, Tim Ingram and wife Kristie and their children, Trenton and Bailey of Hewitt, TX and Bronson, Stockton, and Aurora of Dallas, TX. She was also blessed with many great and great-great grandchildren.
Our family is grateful for the loving and personal care of mom by the staff at The Blake in Waco and all of the hospice nurses from Amedisys.
