James “JL” Holland 85, passed away Tuesday October 14, 2014 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held 2:OO PM Thursday October 16, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating. Visitation will be Thursday October 16, from 12:30 – 1:30 at Oakcrest Funeral Home.
James was born April 6, 1929 in Rains, Texas to Percy Holland and Viola Martin. He married Betty McGowan and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a longtime employee of the City of Waco.
James is survived by his wife: Betty, four daughters; 1 stepdaughter; 1 stepson; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Scott and White Hospice and Greenview Manor Nursing Home for their loving care and support.
