Isabel Tovar

Isabel Tovar, 63, of Waco, Texas passed away surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be at 12pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco, Texas with the Rosary recited at 1pm. The service will follow at 1:30pm.

She was proceeded in death by her brothers, Joe Tovar, Jr. and Frank Bentura and her parents, Joe Tovar, Sr. and Betty Palacios.

Miss Tovar was born in Waco, Texas on May 31, 1962. She was a long-time resident of Fort Worth, Texas where she worked as a caregiver for many years until her retirement. She has two children, Erika Castro and Lucas Ramos-both of Fort Worth, Texas and four grandchildren: Marisa Ramos, Stephen Ramos, Esmeralda Garcia, and Anthony Salazar - all of Fort Worth, Texas, as well as her long-time companion of 26 years, Robert Garcia, also of Fort Worth, Texas. She has six siblings: Andrew Tovar and wife Monica, Emma Navarro and husband Chris, Dolores Monzon and husband Luis, Irene Tovar, George Tovar, and Ricky Tovar and wife Ophelia - all of Waco, Texas. Isabel loved spending time with her family and friends, and she loved her grandchildren to the fullest. She lived a long, wonderful life and was known and loved by many that knew her. Isabel has numerous nephews and nieces that loved her dearly.
