Inez Fuentes Rodriguez

Inez Fuentes Rodriguez, 100 years of age, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 15th from 6pm – 8pm at OakCrest Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16th at Noon at Oakwood Cemetery.

Inez was born on April 20, 1926 in Mart, Texas to Gregoria and Reginaldo Fuentes.

Inez lived in Hondo, Texas with her husband Jesus S. Dominguez, raising 4 children: Estella, Eva, Richard, and Ceasar Dominguez. She later moved to Waco, Texas and was remarried to John G. Rodriguez.

Inez worked for the Department of Human Services for many years, specializing in Child Protective Services. After retiring, she used her sewing skills to create prize winning quilts to gift family members.

Inez was an avid gardener; her garden was a constant source of delicious fruits, flowers and vegetables, in which friends and family enjoyed.

Inez was very patriotic. She volunteered her time at election polls, with the Ladies Auxiliary, and at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Inez was a member and volunteer at the Downsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Inez is survived by her daughter, Eva Ayers, and son, Ceasar Dominguez. She leaves behind a large loving family who will miss her dearly.

Inez’s devotion and love for her family and friends will always be remembered.
