Frances was born in Waco, TX to R.H. Flores and Jesse Ramos on September 27, 1943. She later gained
her stepfather Arthur Ramos. She married Joe Bravo, Jr. in 1983. Joe was a loving and devoted husband
to Frances who always displayed the true definition both in sickness and in health. She graduated from
Texas A&M and went into teaching for over 40 years.
Frances was a very hardworking and selfless person who cared about everyone she met. She loved
flowers, cooking & baking, sewing, dancing, and gardening. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife,
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Frances served as an educator and as a cosmetology
instructor at McLennan Community College where she touched many lives. She was small, but she was
fierce. Serving others was always a huge part of her heart and you could guarantee you would gain a
few pounds after leaving her house. She loved giving back to others and wanted the best for everyone.
Her life was a living testimony, she showed us how to persevere through life’s struggles and walk by
faith.
Frances enjoyed spending time with her loving husband Joe who she adored tremendously and would
always say, “He is such a good man”. After 40 years of marriage, their love was a true inspiration of
living out their vows to each other. Seeing them together, there was no greater love. They spent many
of their days enjoying “the country” on their land, listening to music, cooking, laughing, and dancing
together in the kitchen.
The impact she had as a mother was second to none. From music, automotive and swimming lessons,
to every sport, she made sure they had countless opportunities growing up. She devoted her life to
being a present mother and making a beautiful life for her boys. Her love for them overflowed into their
kids where she spent her later years being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved taking
them out to the country, teaching them to sew quilts and blankets, and being their biggest fan at
sporting events. Sleepovers at Grandma and Papa Joe’s were spent making big red floats, eating fresh
popcorn, watching movies, and lots of laughs and crafts.

“Love leaves a legacy”. There are not enough words to express the legacy her love left behind. It
extended much further than just her immediate family. She made the most of her life with the ones she
loved. Missing her is a heartache that will never go, but her life will ever remain a constant reminder
that there is no greater way to honor her than to uphold the love and peace she lived for.
