Evelyn Smith

Evelyn D. Smith, 93, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2003 at a local hospital.

SERVICES

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2003, at Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 8 am to 9 p.m., and Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Services are being handled by OakCrest Funeral Home at 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

PERSONAL LIFE

Evelyn D. Smith was born on February 10, 1909 in Bono, Texas to John and Sally (Butler) Drake. She was united in marriage to Paul D. Smith on September 10, 1933 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Smiths purchased Central Texas Bus Lines on September 1, 1960 and operated it until selling out on February 1, 1973. Paul preceded her in death on March 18, 2001.

Evelyn was a member of the First Baptist Church here in Waco since 1946.

SURVIVORS

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
