Elnora Canady Johnson, 88, of Arizona and formerly of Waco, passed away November 24, 2008 in Arizona.
Elnora Johnson was born August 19, 1920, to C. B. Canady and Emma Hood in Waco, Texas. Elnora was one of nine children born to the union of Emma and C. B.
She later met and married Aurbe Johnson December 24, 1940, and the two of them were married 65 years. Elnora gave birth to ten children, (six girls and four boys) and she helped to raise one grandson, Gerald Harris, who she loved as a son. She was a proud homemaker who took pride in raising her children. As a young woman, Elnora loved to dance and even in her early eighties she was known to "cut a rug" or two.
Mother, your children will continue to celebrate you and you will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for teaching us to love God and put Him first.
Alive to cherish your loving memory are Maxine Crosby, Joyce Palmer, Aurbe Johnson, Jr., Gloria Miller, Betty Davenport, James Johnson, Anitha Jones, Ralph Johnson, Gregory Johnson; twentyeight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
