Edmundo Antonio Ambros

Edmundo Antonio Ambros, 60, of Waco, Texas passed away from heart failure on June 27, 2026. Edmundo was born in Houston, Texas where he lived with his mother, younger sister, and grandparents.

Edmundo was the first in his family to graduate from Texas Southern University, becoming a dedicated pharmacist and used his knowledge to help his patients beyond the job description of just filling the prescriptions.

Edmundo (affectionately known as “Mundo” or “Big Ed”) enjoyed watching movies, setting off and watching fireworks, and most of all, shooting. Whether it be guns or pool. Edmundo was an accomplished pool player, as he was in many competitions over the years.

He always had a generous heart and was loved by many for it.

Edmundo is preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, and sister. He is survived by his daughter, Josephina Ambros and her mother, Jessyca Sollenberger; his stepdaughters, Cecelia (Jensen) Everhart, Sarena, Angelina, and Odessa Peterson; his grandchildren, Jackson, Riley, Ryder, Kayden, Bellamy, Laikyn, and Nina.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 3825 Bosque Blvd. Waco, Texas 76710.

In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

“How do I say goodbye to someone who’s been with me for my whole life?”
