Donna Ruth Jones, 65, went to rest peacefully on April 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. She was lovingly surrounded by family and friends who cherished her deeply during her final days.
Donna was born in Germany on May 25, 1959. She grew up with a deep love for life and an even deeper love for those around her. She graduated from Richfield High School in 1978, and shortly after, she married, became a mother, and devoted her life to raising her children with unwavering strength.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Mcglauflin; her mother, Mildred Mcglauflin; her brother, Michael Mcglauflin; and her sister, Debbie Harrison.
Donna’s memory will be lovingly carried on by her surviving family: her brothers, Thomas McGlauflin, Harold Jones, and William Jones; her sons, Rickie Jones, Jr., Brian Jones, and Christopher Jones; her daughter, Ashley Major; and her eight beloved grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Donna worked hard and gave her all to everything she did. She began her longest career at Time Manufacturing in 2004, where she worked with dedication until retiring in 2017 due to health concerns.
Donna had a spirit that lit up every room she entered. She found joy in simple pleasures—reading a good book, dancing with friends, and soaking up the sunshine at the lake. She had a heart that loved deeply and freely, and her kindness touched everyone she met.
Above all, Donna was a faithful daughter, a devoted sister, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a treasured friend. Her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at OakCrest Funeral Home in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. A dinner reception will be held afterward, with more details to come.
We take comfort in knowing that Donna is now at peace, surrounded by everlasting light and love.
