Diana Fairfax “Fifi” Eden Brassard was born in New York City, New York at Presbyterian Hospital on October 29, 1947 to John H Eden, Jr. and Mary Frances Pearson Harriss. She passed away on December 14, 2025 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Her grandfather, T. Brooks Pearson, was the architect for the first Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Her mother, Mary Frances Pearson Harriss, and uncle, James Pearson, were very well known local artists.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at OakCrest Funeral Home, with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Avenue, Waco, Texas with Father Joe Geleney as officiant. Burial will be later at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco.
Diana was a loving and devoted stepmother to all of her husband‘s children. She is already missed greatly by all of them and by her husband.
Diana received a Bachelor degree in psychology from Southern Connecticut University and an Associate of Arts degree in Nursing from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas after which she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and practiced that profession until she retired from nursing.
Through her charitable giving she helped many people and organizations to make this world a much better place. She had a very loving heart and everyone who knew her loved her.
Diana is survived by her husband, John R. Brassard of Waco; stepchildren and step grandchildren; stepmother, Betty Eden of Inverness, Florida; four sisters; and one brother, John H Eden, III. of Inverness, Florida.
Diana‘s sister, Terrell Pearson Eden Laney, preceded her in death several years ago in Austin, Texas.
