Deborah Elaine Welborn

Deborah Elaine Welborn, 87, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, in the loving embrace of her family.

Deborah was born October 15, 1938, in Albany, Texas. She was one of seven children born to Floyd and Cordia Wallace. In 1958, Deborah married M.C. Welborn, Jr., a union that lasted 52 years. Together, Deborah and M.C. raised five children as they moved throughout the Permian Basin.

Her purpose and passion in life was her family. Deborah was a devoted wife and mother, ensuring home life was full of love and happiness. She cherished the God-given gift of family.

Deborah was a devout Christian who loved her Lord and Savior. She leaves behind her children: J.B. Welborn, Jeff Welborn (Lisa), Donna Hoppe (Wendel), Marion Ekman (Chris), and James Welborn (Becky); 14 loving grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Rest in Peace, Bebo.

The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to her surviving sister, Waldeen Scott, as well as Lynridge Assisted Living, the doctors, nurses, and staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waco, and Western Heights Baptist Church.
