David Eugene Fikes, 56, of China Spring, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Monday, February 26 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., with Chaplain Richard Rust officiating preceded by visitation from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

A memorial video honoring his life will be shared during the visitation. Friends may come by OakCrest Funeral Home on Sunday between 1 and 5 p.m. to view Mr. Fikes and sign his register.

David loved his family dearly, just becoming a grandfather on the 17th of February. He loved grilling, fishing, and always enjoyed his garden. He recently retired from M&M Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian Sr. and Evelyn Fikes, grandparents, and father-in-law, Xelon Thomas.

Survivors include devoted wife, Dicque; daughters, Jamie Moyer and husband Justin, and Jessica Fischetti and husband Joel; granddaughter, Zoe Madison; brothers, Adrian Fikes Jr., Larry Fikes and wife Theresa, J.D. Fikes and wife Jackie;mother-in-law Barbara George: brother-in-law Randy Thomas and wife Vicky; sisters-in-law, Diane Richardson and husband Robert, Deidra Schmedthorst and husband Glenn, and Carla Rodriguez and husband Eric. He had numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include:
Cody Richardson,
Joel Fischetti,
Eric Rodriguez,
Randy Thomas,
Justin Schmedthorst, and
Scott Smith.

Honorary pallbearers include all of his wonderful friends at M&M Mars.

David will be greatly missed by family and friends!
