Charlene Bryan

Charlene Bryan, 82, of Gholson, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Gholson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Charlene was born on January 13, 1926 in Snowflake, Arizona to Albert Tilman Willis and Ida Flake Willis. On March 4, 1950, she married James Otis "Jiggs" Bryan. They settled in Gholson after Jiggs' retirement in 1998.

She was an avid reader who also enjoyed handcrafts and movies, and she always had a soda and a candy bar for her grandkids. She will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jiggs, who passed away April 12, 2007.

Charlene is survived by her daughter, Merle Hoskins and husband, David of Waco; son, Mike Bryan and wife, Louise of Iona ID; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren
