In Loving Memory of Cesaria Cecilia Martinez
Cesaria Cecilia Martinez was born on February 25, 1936, in Aquilla, Texas, to Domasio and Gabriella Ramirez. Cesaria passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Care Center, surrounded by her loved ones.
Cesaria spent 25 years working for Sul Ross Senior Center where she eventually retired as a Senior Director. Some of the best memories were spent with her grandchildren surprising her at work. She would always have them help serve the elderly, play bingo or just keep them company.
Cesaria cherished time with her family. She loved spending time with all her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and especially her sisters. There was never a dull moment with them 4. If you were lucky enough to have her cook for you then she was making you her FAMOUS chicken and rice! She loved hosting holiday gatherings, shopping, collecting all her little knickknacks and vintage treasures. Some of the sweetest memories were made at Grandma’s house, she will forever be remembered for her big heart, her sense of humor that she didn’t believe she had and all the love she shared with everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Damasio and Gabriela Ramirez; her husband, Guadalupe "Pito" Martinez; her brothers, John Ramirez, Tony Ramirez, Manuel Ramirez, Pedro "Pete" Ramirez, Gilbert Ramirez, Valentine Ramirez, and Humberto Ramirez; her sister, Martha Suarez; her daughter, Hope Martinez; her grandson, Adam Martinez, Jr.; and her dear friends, Irene and Leonar.
She is survived by her sons, John Ralph "Pache" Alaniz and his wife, Victoria; Martin Torres; Anthony "Booboo" Martinez and his wife, Susie; and Adam Martinez and his wife, Paula; her sisters, Jesusa "Susie" Ramos and Victoria Ramirez Smith; her grandsons, Jesus, Michael, Jonathan, Marty, and Lucas; her granddaughters, Ambar, Stephanie, Veronica, Christina, Hope, Cecilia, Shonda, and Marie; many great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Lil Janie.
Cesaria will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of getting to know her. Her family will forever cherish the holidays spent together, the meals she prepared, the laughter they shared, and the many memories that were made in her home. Although she is no longer here, the love she gave and the memories she leaves behind will always remain in their hearts. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, support and condolences. A special thank you and appreciation to the staff at Gentiva Hospice and to Frances with Home Instead Waco.
