Catherine Franklin, 79, of Oglesby, passed away February 22, 2024, peacefully in her sleep with her sister by her side. Services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Oakcrest Funeral Home, Waco. Burial will follow at Eagle Springs Cemetery, Oglesby. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 27 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Catherine “Cat” was born on April 10, 1944, in Abbott, Texas to Woodrow and Lula Davis. She worked at C-Line products in Waco for many years and upon retirement, continued to care for her elderly parents until their deaths in 1994 and 1998. She worked in home health as a caretaker for many years afterwards. She always worked hard to provide for her family and kept her faith even in the hardest of times.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, WD, Aubrey, and Tim; sister, Rachel; brother-in-law, Harley Sutton; niece, Kayla; and nephews, Kevin and Jamie.
Cathy is survived her daughter, Michelle Fleming and husband, Scott of Lorena; granddaughter, Paula Hoke of Fort Worth; grandson, Richard Hoke and wife, Debra of McGregor; great-granddaughters, Rylee and Everlee Hoke of McGregor; sister, Lula Bell Sutton of Bellmead; brothers, John Davis of Bellmead, Richard Davis of Chalk Bluff, and Willard Davis of Robinson; along with several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
