Carrie peacefully left us on November 15, 2024, at the age of 62. Known for her unwavering kindness, radiant spirit, and deep dedication to her family, she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Born on July 23, 1962, in Big Spring, Texas, Carrie spent her life nurturing her loved ones with boundless love and support. As a devoted mother, Carrie treasured her children Samantha Richards, Jaclyn Kot, James Hilton, Jr., and Ashley Hilton always prioritizing their happiness and well-being.
Grandchildren: Hailey Nicole Richards, Parker Edward Kirk, Joseph Keegan Kirk, Chelcey Diane Kirk, Kolbey Ryan Richards, Jessica Lorraine Kot, Harley CarrieMarie Richards, Emma Lane Kot, and Sophia DeneenRose Kot.
Great-Grandchild: Kynslee Ann Richards brought inspiration and joy to her heart. A new generation.
Her sisterly bond with Jeff Murphy, Missy Gressett, and Ron Murphy, II. was marked by warmth and laughter, remaining strong throughout their lives. Carrie had the joy of being an aunt to many nieces and nephews, sharing a lasting bond as she got to watch them grow into their successes.
After growing up in the Fort Worth area, life later brought Carrie to Waco where she met her late husband James, built a home, raised her children, and established a fulfilling career within the community.
Carrie's joy for life was infectious, and her positive approach to challenges inspired those around her. Her smile and genuine nature left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
A celebration of Carrie's life will be held on November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Carrie had a deep love for her cousins, friends, and the ocean. From an early age, she overcame adversity, developing a remarkable strength and determination that shaped her approach to life. She faced challenges with courage, excelling as a mother and in her career.
Throughout her life, Carrie was surrounded by love and faith, gifts she cherished and shared with all. Her family and friends are eternally grateful for the memories and moments they shared with her.
