Carlos DeLeon of Waco passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Providence Hospital from a heart attack.
Carlos was born on May 12, 1955 in Waco, McLennan, Texas to Antonia Padilla Padilla DeLeon and Eulalio DeLeon Sr. He was 71 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, and grandfather.
He was a retired Pipefitter for BT Services. He started out as a young man washing dishes for George’s Restaurant when the original owner George Betros took him under his wing and he was a role model for him. As he transitioned to cook then Manager.
He later attended TSTC, where he studied two trades. He first earned a degree in auto body repair before continuing his education in pipefitting and refrigeration. He used those skills throughout his years working for BT Services.
He met so many good people along the way, thank you Victor Montemayor, for being a loyal and devoted friend until the end.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Eulalio DeLeon, Sr.; mother, Antonia Padilla Padilla; sister, Brenda B. Sanchez DeLeon; brother, Freddie DeLeon; brother, Tony DeLeon; and nephew, Timothy.Tia Delia P. Carrion. Uncle, Isabel Padilla. And cousins, Lupe Carrion and Belia Fraga.
Carlos is survived by his wife, Margie Sue DeLeon, whom he loved for 50 years of marriage this year; his children, Sharon Kay Lane Perez and husband, Mike Perez, Christopher Carlos DeLeon and wife, Marissa DeLeon, Leo Gonzales and wife, Melissa DeLeon Gonzales, and Many DeLeon.
He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren including Sian Gabrielle Ortiz, Nicholas Perez and kids Miyahna and Nico Jr.; Caden Perez; Miranda and Abe Moreno and kids pops “partners in crime” Mille and A.J., BriAna DeLeon and Justin Marinez and kids, Khloe Bear and Amaya Papaya and Christopher Quentin DeLeon will always be pops baby no matter how old he gets, along with Tristan Dakota Morales and his princess, Luana Lulu Morales. Damian Montana Morales and wife Jennifer Martinez Morales and kids JohnPaul, Montana, Kendall, and our beautiful Isabella! O).
His siblings; Lupe and husband Constancio DeLeon, Maryl and Richard Chavez, Leo “Eulalio” DeLeon, Andrew and Rose DeLeon, Janie and Steve Garcia, Virginia and Johnny Capetillo, Antonia “Penny” DeLeon, Felicia and Johnny Puente. With many nephews, nieces, and cousins that he adored..Carlos was known for his kind heart and always trying to make someone laugh. He will forever be remembered for all his wild stories..rest in peace pops until we meet again.
Carlos wished to spend eternity at peace through cremation and a small viewing for immediate family will be Thursday, May 28, 2026; cremation shortly after with Celebration of Life, June 2, 2026. Rather than gathering in sorrow, he hoped those who knew and loved him would remember him as he was in life and celebrate his memory each day in their own hearts.
